Por Onde Anda? Armada 7807

Before arriving in Brazil, Armada 7807 had already completed offshore campaigns in Guyana and Colombia, including AUV survey operations for ExxonMobil in the Stabroek Block.

Delivered in 2023, Armada 7807, IMO 9924302, is one of Ocean Infinity’s 78-metre offshore support vessels. Flying the Singapore flag and classed by DNV, the vessel was developed around lean-crewed operations, marine robotics and remote control from shore.

The Armada concept combines the vessel with remotely operated and autonomous underwater systems, allowing survey and subsea data acquisition campaigns to be carried out with fewer people offshore.

Armada 7807 arrived in Brazil in July 2026 and called at Niterói before departing for survey operations in the Campos Basin.

Public AIS data subsequently placed the vessel in the area of the Fluminense FPSO. The unit served Shell’s Bijupirá and Salema fields, which are currently undergoing decommissioning, including subsea disconnection, cleaning and equipment removal.

The movements are consistent with survey or subsea support activities, but no public announcement reviewed for this article confirms the client, contract or detailed scope of work.

Recent AIS data continues to place Armada 7807 in the Campos Basin. Whatever the exact scope of its first Brazilian campaign, the vessel appears to have moved beyond mobilisation and into survey operations.

Its arrival introduces more than another offshore vessel to the Brazilian market. It brings an operating model in which marine robotics, reduced crews and remote control are integrated into the vessel from the beginning.
