The ANP requested the government to inform if Petrobras and BP are up to date with their accounts and other contractual obligations. This will be decisive for the National Petroleum Agency to extend
the Exploration Phase of the Alto de Cabo Frio Central block, in Campos Basin pre-salt. The extension request was made by Petrobras last July. The block is operated by the Brazilian state-owned company (50%), in partnership with BP since 2017 in the 3rd Sharing Round. The exploration phase runs until October 31, 2025. If the ANP extends it, the deadline will run until April 2027.
