EAS East Quay reportedly sold for LNG terminal

Mover and Somah have reportedly completed negotiations to sell the East Quay of Estaleiro Atlântico Sul in Pernambuco for the development of an LNG terminal.

The sale is part of efforts to monetize underused assets and support EAS’s judicial reorganization. The restructuring plan assigned a minimum economic value of R$380 million to the areas located at the East Quay.

The proposed development would give part of the shipyard’s waterfront infrastructure a new role within Brazil’s LNG supply chain.

The buyer, final transaction value, terminal capacity and development schedule have not been disclosed.
