Bram adjusts PSV fleet amid flag changes in Brazil

Bram Offshore has adjusted the status of a group of PSVs following regulatory and operational developments involving foreign-flagged tonnage in Brazil.

The Allie Chouest has returned to operations after changing its flag and resolving its regulatory situation. In June, ANTAQ granted Bram a 180-day Certificate of Charter Authorization (CAA), after a blocking process involving Brazilian tonnage, ongoing since April 2025, failed to consolidate.

Juan C, Robert Adams and Roger White have also changed flags as part of the regularization of the fleet. The vessels had remained in Guanabara Bay, with Robert Adams and Roger White previously listed by Brazilian maritime authorities as awaiting commercial contracts.

The Jack Edwards followed a different path. The vessel was replaced by Bram Buccaneer and has been demobilized from Brazil, heading back toward the United States.

The adjustments represent a well-executed move by Bram to navigate blocking challenges raised by other Brazilian shipping companies and keep its PSV fleet employed. The result stands out in a market where close to 20 PSVs are currently without employment in Brazil.
