  • PETROBRAS AND QATARENERGY SECURE SEVEN BLOCKS IN BRAZIL’S EQUATORIAL MARGIN
    ​
    Petrobras and QatarEnergy secured seven offshore exploration blocks in the Ceará Basin during ANP’s 6th Permanent Offer Concession Cycle, held on October 7.
    ​
    Petrobras will operate the blocks with a 70% interest, while QatarEnergy will hold 30%. The areas cover approximately 4,690 km² in water depths ranging from 2,000 to 3,600 meters.
    ​
    The consortium offered combined signing bonuses of R$28.46 million, with minimum exploration commitments estimated at R$235.25 million.
    ​
    The awarded blocks are CE-M-471, CE-M-473, CE-M-475, CE-M-477, CE-M-537, CE-M-539 and CE-M-665. Concession contracts are expected to be signed in the first half of 2027.

  • BRAVA ENERGIA PRODUCTION RISES TO 82,900 BOE/D IN SEPTEMBER
    ​
    Brava Energia reported preliminary, unaudited production of approximately 82,900 barrels of oil equivalent per day in September 2026, compared with 81,600 boe/d in August.
    ​
    Offshore assets contributed approximately 53,200 boe/d, while onshore operations accounted for 29,800 boe/d.
    ​
    At Papa-Terra, the PPT-52 well began production on September 29 following authorization from Ibama and is undergoing initial production stabilization. The well is part of a four-well drilling campaign covering Papa-Terra and Atlanta, with two new producers planned for each field.

    In Potiguar, production recovery continued gradually, supported by increased steam injection volumes.

  • OCEAN MERMAID ARRIVES IN BRAZIL FOR TGS OFFSHORE SEISMIC PROJECT
    ​
    Ocean Mermaid has arrived in Brazil to support an offshore seismic project for TGS, involving geophysical surveys and data acquisition in Brazilian waters.
    ​
    RIONAV is participating in the operation as a Brazilian Shipping Company (EBN), providing local operational and logistical support for the specialized vessel.
    ​
