- Vallourec secures Sépia 2 contract with Subsea7
Vallourec has secured a contract from Subsea7 to supply carbon steel seamless line pipe and thermal insulation coating for approximately 130 km of rigid risers and flowlines for Petrobras’ Sépia 2 development in the Santos Basin pre-salt.
The scope represents more than 15,000 tonnes of pipe. Manufacturing will take place at Vallourec’s Jeceaba plant in Minas Gerais, while thermal insulation coating will be applied in Serra, Espírito Santo.
The award is linked to Subsea7’s EPCI contract for Sépia 2, classified by the company as a supermajor contract worth more than US$1.25 billion. Subsea7’s scope covers 17 wells — 15 from Sépia 2 and two from Sépia 1 — as well as a gas export line and 18 risers. Offshore operations are scheduled to begin in 2029.
- Petrobras signs new long-term contract for SeaLoader 2
SeaLoading, part of the MOL Group, has secured a new long-term agreement with Petrobras for the continued operation of the SeaLoader 2 Cargo Transfer Vessel offshore Brazil.
SeaLoader 2 has worked for Petrobras since 2022, initially under a trial program and later through a time-charter arrangement, transferring crude directly from FPSOs to conventional tankers, including VLCCs.
SeaLoader 1 and SeaLoader 2 have together supported more than 200 offloading campaigns in Brazil.
Contract value and specific duration were not disclosed.
- Petrobras awards new TCP contract to Strohm
Petrobras has awarded Strohm and Strohm Brasil a new contract covering thermoplastic composite pipe technology for offshore post-salt operations in Brazil.
The scope includes TCP for water injection and gas lift applications in water depths of up to 1,500 meters, as well as qualification testing, project engineering, field services and support for offshore trials and installation activities.
The new contract follows offshore field trials carried out by Petrobras and Strohm in 2025, when the technology was also tested at water depths of approximately 1,500 meters.
