DOF Group has secured another 12 months of firm employment for Skandi Nomad in Guyana, extending the vessel’s contract until November 2027.
The option was declared on October 14 and was classified by DOF as “Limited”, its category for contracts valued at less than US$15 million.
Although the client was not identified in the latest announcement, DOF’s own reporting identifies Skandi Nomad as part of its long-term operation for ExxonMobil Guyana.
The relationship dates back to 2022, when DOF Subsea secured a three-year agreement with Esso Exploration & Production Guyana Limited, now ExxonMobil Guyana Limited, for subsea vessel support in the Stabroek Block.
The original scope included inspection, maintenance and repair activities, well intervention support and light subsea construction, with up to two additional years of options.
DOF later identified Skandi Nomad as one of the vessels working under its ExxonMobil Guyana operation from November 2022.
In October 2025, the vessel received a one-year extension that kept it firm in Guyana through the fourth quarter of 2026. The latest option now extends that employment to November 2027.
Skandi Nomad has remained active across ExxonMobil’s offshore operations in the Stabroek Block.
Official maritime notices issued during 2026 list the vessel among those supporting developmental drilling at the Whiptail project. The vessel was also used in a campaign to deploy subsea scientific instruments within the block between August and October.

DOF’s scope in Guyana has expanded beyond vessel and ROV support. The company has reported that its work for ExxonMobil has developed to include project management and engineering, intervention tooling, and specialized survey and inspection services.
Built in 2010, Skandi Nomad is a 90.2-meter DP2 subsea vessel of Ulstein 745 CDL design, with a deadweight of 4,288 tonnes and accommodation for 60 people.
The latest extension keeps the vessel within DOF’s established ExxonMobil Guyana operation for another year as offshore activity continues across the Stabroek Block.
