Westhon expands technology team with new talent and internal promotions

Westhon is pleased to welcome two new interns to its Information Technology team while also announcing the promotion of two professionals who have been developing their careers within the group.

The new team members are Arthur Granito, 20, and Arthur Rezende, 21, both Computer Science students at Unifeso. They will contribute to the development and evolution of technology solutions across the Westhon Group.

Arthur Granito joins as a Full Stack Developer, with experience in Java, Spring Boot, Python, Django, DRF, FastAPI, React and TypeScript. His background also includes Artificial Intelligence and RAG applications, covering different stages of the development cycle, from backend and frontend development to deployment and infrastructure.

Arthur Rezende brings practical experience in software development, with a focus on backend technologies. He has worked with C#/.NET, APIs, databases and SQL, as well as the implementation and improvement of software features.

Alongside the new arrivals, Westhon is also recognizing the development of two members of its existing technology team.

Yuri Domingues, 22, has been promoted from Level 2 Intern to Lead Software Engineer, less than a year after joining the company.

Paulo Henrique Cantergiani, 21, who previously served as Market Intelligence Lead, has been promoted to Software and Electronics Engineering Lead, expanding his responsibilities across the group’s technology initiatives.

Together, Arthur Granito, Arthur Rezende, Yuri Domingues and Paulo Henrique Cantergiani contribute to the development and management of Westhon Group’s digital platforms, including WSB-One, the group’s offshore market intelligence platform.

WSB-One brings together detailed information on hundreds of vessels, alongside data and intelligence covering production, wells and basins across Brazil. The platform is an important part of Westhon’s technology and market intelligence offering for the offshore industry.

The expansion of the team reflects a model Westhon intends to continue developing: bringing young professionals into the business, giving them exposure to real projects and creating room for them to grow as their responsibilities and capabilities evolve.
