Amazon shipbuilding initiative

The Ministry of Ports and Airports has announced BRL 1.7 billion from the Merchant Marine Fund (FMM) to build 188 vessels in Amazonas. The works will be carried out by LHG Mining and Hermasa. In addition, upgrades were inaugurated at the ports of Envira and Eirunepé. The initiative aims to boost the shipbuilding industry, reduce logistics costs and stimulate the riverside economy.
